Hello! My name is Randy. In my professional career in marketing I was taught to use the “scientific method” – hypothesize, propose, test, measure results and repeat the process to improve your outcome. With budgets in the millions of dollars, I learned how to intelligently test and improve big advertising and merchandising proposals. If they failed, we moved on to the next test idea and repeated the process. We never sat on our hands. We succeeded (or failed) fast. We iterated non-stop. I use this mind-set virtually every day of my life – in my career, personal life and in trading equities.

A few years ago bored at work and wanting more financial freedom, I decided to open a brokerage account with Charles Schwab. The idea of making money from money has always intrigued me. I deposited $30,000 into my new account, and started learning how to successfully buy and sell stocks in the US stock market. After slow results (but some good learnings in the first 2 years), years 3 and 4 demonstrated to me that it is possible to work for yourself and be 100% in command of your own financial future. I now “day-trade” full-time for a living – and I love it!

“Day-trading” has received an unfair risky reputation. Like most things in this world, it’s only risky if misused or misunderstood. In my case, “short-term” trading is a more accurate phrase to describe what I do. I don’t always buy & sell in the same day, week or month. With my system you trade when the time is right. Sometimes a specific stock may be traded several times in one day, and other times it might only be traded a few times per week or month. The Jagged Trading guidelines will help you decide when the time is “right”.
